NTUA Logo
The Telecommunications Laboratory at NTUA is one of the most important research groups in Greece bringing together many of the countries most accomplished researchers. The Grid research group focuses on Grid middleware development, service-based Grid architectures and standards, Grid applications, portals and testbeds and semantics in Grid computing.

NTUA was a member of the original EC IST GRIA project consortium, and continues to be engaged with technical developments and roadmaps. In HPC Europa, NTUA integrated GRIA 4 with a portal framework providing uniform access to heterogeneous European HPC infrastructures. In BEinGRID, NTUA is deploying GRIA 5 in two experiments on distributed engineering simulation and supply-chain management. As a part of this work, NTUA is developing a command line client for GRIA 5, which will be distributed from the GRIA web site shortly.

CCLRE
is the European research lab of NEC's corporate R&D group active in the area of Parallel and Distributed Computing, which includes Grid technologies and High Performance Computing (HPC) software technologies and applications.

CCLRE was the coordinator of the EC IST GEMSS project which developed a secure Web Service infrastructure for medical simulation services, collaborating with IT Innovation on security and privacy issues. CCLRE are currently active in the NextGRID, SIMDAT and @neurIST projects developing middleware solutions for security and dynamic access control, resource brokering and semantic registries. In SIMDAT, CCLRE have integrated their E2E security framework (developed in GEMSS) and a semantic registry with GRIA 5, and are working with IT Innovation on the next generation dynamic access control frameworks.
